• Conference on Undergraduate and Graduate Student Research (CUGSR) - Akron, OH, February 15, 2007

  A national conference open to all undergraduates from all institutions of higher learning and from all corners of the academic currciulum. Abstracts are due on December 1, 2006.

• 2007 Undergraduate Research Awards in Humanities Competition

  The Undergraduate Research Office (URO) is pleased to announce it will offer six $500 awards for academic year 2007-2008 to selected students to be used to further research projects.  Funds may be utilized for a variety of research-related expenses, such as travel, books, computer software, supplies, equipment, and other items, not including wages.  Eligible students must be enrolled in a major program in the College of Humanities and must complete a project related to that major.  The deadline for applying for these awards has been extended to March 2 , 2007.

• Present a paper at the annual spring meeting of The Ohio Academy of Science. Deadline for submission is November 5th! Click on "Present at Forums" to learn about other opportunities to share your research.

• Don't forget to stop by the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at the French Field House. Project viewing will take place from 12 - 3 p.m; reception and information fair at 4 p.m; awards ceremony at 5 p.m. including new Distinguished Undergraduate Research Mentor Awards!
